I loved the cortado (pictured), from its presentation in the rocks glass to the taste. There was no harsh, acidic aftertaste; it was smooth for the entire drink. The food could use some improvement (I visited during its nascent year), but my rating is essentially based on the reason for why I came the coffee craftsmanship. If you want a good coffee in the Poughkeepsie area, check out this hidden gem.
Amazing coffee shop that would make any morning better. Great breakfast, coffee, and tea options. Perfect light music in the background and happy conversations throughout the cafe. Would highly recommend this little gem in Poughkeepsie!! Barista couldn’t be nicer and the service was fast. Also located in a hip, historic building.
Absolutely unique place to visit. This business is located in the renovated Poughkeepsie building on Cannon St. In close proximity to the Bardavon opera house. Lies between main street and rte 44/55 east. Offers a limited but unique array of pastries and food items in conjunction with the open kitchen; also a great experience for creative meal offerings. This local gem offers possibly the best selection of light and dark Asian coffees. Beans are prepared onsite with the option to purchase in bulk for personal use. Courteous, genuinely friendly staff with the desire to please/satisfy the steady stream of patrons seeking to sample the delicious recipes. Off the beaten path but in close proximity to major routes in and around the city. There is adequate parking, wifi is available, and the space is available for rent to host a variety of events; parties, baby showers, poetry reading, etc. Quiet and safe location to enjoy a meal, read, or just relax
I've been meaning to wrote this for sometime. I love, love, love this place. Not pretentious (like a lot of coffee shops) and the baristas are always willing to share samples of new roasts and beans they have. I constantly buy bags of coffee here, and they always get back to me to let me know what's being roasted that week. Strongly recommend the Ugandan dark, and the light roast Oaxacan! They know their coffee!
Great coffee shop in the Poughkeepsie area Follow-up reply: Thank for your reply! The day I went there were limited food options, which I think was because of the holiday. Also the music may have been a tad too loud, but I may have been sitting close to a speaker. I definitely plan to return in the future though.
