U Kocoura - Prague

This place is a legendary one. the unique climate, tasty eating, cold beer and handwritten bills provide a unique experience, even if they sometimes have to wait for their meal or be served.

Was tempted to gatekeep this place but finally caved. pretty unassuming at first glance and a place where older guys from the neighborhood congregate. tried the specialty dish (juicy chicken, potato dumplings with more chicken inside/crispy onion flakes, all on top of a layer of cabbage) and it was life-changing. friend and i were so absorbed that we didnt speak a word the whole meal. went back two days in a row. best meal i had in prague

Shocked how good and cheap you can eat and drink in the Middle of City. Traditional Czechia lunch with lot of beer? Or only beer maybe? Definitely best place. Crowded but worth it. Warning. You can pay only with cash.

A great place to visit! we had smažony syr and pivo, everything was delicious and affordable. the atmosphere in this place is truly unforgettable and unique. special thanks to our Hungarian friends recommended for this amazing place.

U Kocoura is a fantastic place, located close to the castle, the prices are very decent, especially compared to the portion size. Great service, in particular the guy with long hair and beard was extremely charismatic and you could get along in English and Polish. Cheap big mugs of beer keep the atmosphere of the place, next time I 'm in Prague I will definitely go there again
