I particularly enjoyed the pizza, although it's not always on the menu. They don't serve pizza on Mondays, and on other days, it's only available after 2:30 PM, depending on whether the cook is there. We've driven 30 miles to visit, and it has been frustrating to arrive craving pizza only to find it's unavailable. They suggested we call ahead, but when we tried, no one answered the phone. However, other dishes, such as the fish and chips served with tater tots and the hamburgers, are very good. Our friends also love their salads. Although I recommended this place to a friend who experienced rude service, my own experiences have consistently been positive, and we enjoy returning here.
This place was fantastic! I ordered the French dip and the meat was sliced directly from a prime rib. It was delicious! I’ve saved this restaurant to recommend it to others nearby, and I can't wait to come back next year. The atmosphere is also perfect for just relaxing and hanging out. They have a few service aspects to improve, but the food was excellent and there's a lot of potential here. I highly recommend it!
This is a fantastic bar that also serves delicious food. Our meal was excellent, and our server did an amazing job juggling the entire front of the house while also managing other aspects of the business at the same time. She was an impressive multitasker and a wonderful host. The cook also added to the fun atmosphere. The venue is slightly off the main road, so you'll need to keep an eye out for it. I highly recommend this place among the many dining and drinking options in the area!
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience here! Don’t walk, run to order their Hawaiian pizza or the Pesto Chicken pizza. Make sure you ask for the best server Shannon! She knows what’s up, and made it a great experience for our group visiting from out of town. Five stars, hands down!
The Outpost is a pleasant suprise in this small town although slightly off the beaten path. But less than a mile from the Emigrant intersection, turn East towards the Sage lodge and s you round the curve slightly left after crossing the river, there it sits in the right. Indoor or large outdoor seating. Plenty of parking. Gotta try their pizza, best in the area and all their food is good with variety of beers, wine and liquor. A locals bar restaurant and all are welcome.Parking: There is a large gravel parking area and plenty of room.
