So far my favourite north indian restaurant. That being said, I was skeptical about tasting their bunny chows, but I did and it was fantastic!!! Finding a good bunny in Pretoria East has proven incredibly difficult. The only recommendation I have is to put potatoes in the lamb bunny then it will be perfection. I give it a 4.5 and not a 5 because the service was a bit slow. The place was busy and very very understaffed. We weren't given serviettes to use and had to wait for a waiter for quite a while before asking. But if I take the slow service out of the equation, it would be A 5.
Wow wow wowI had the chicken samosas and lamb rogan josh and it was absolutely amazing!!!
The destination for supper tonight was Spice Kitchen. Planned to go there a few months ago, but only had the opportunity to go there tonight. When we got there, we were shown to a vacant table and our waitress brought us something to snack on while we waited for our drinks. For mains, we opted for Chicken Tikka Masala, Chicken Korma, Butter Chicken and Tandoor Chicken Tikka pieces. Although the curries comes with rice, we ordered naan bread as well. We wanted to order lamb dishes, but unfortunately they were sold out. I was quite impressed with the aroma and flavours of the food. Tasty and tender chicken! Finished off with desserts (pistachio litchi ice cream and a serving of mango something ice cream). All round good experience and will be back for more!<br/
We lived around the corner from this gem in the East for over two years, when my wife discovered it. If you live in the East, like Indian cuisine and you have not been here, you are yet to live. The staff are warm and friendly and the food takes you to the seventh Heaven. Each mouthful, each dish is a unique taste explosion that has your attention from the start, and I am not only referring to the 'Hurt-me-hot ' degree of spiciness. Fast becoming our second kitchen.
Their food is absolutely to die for and a warm, friendly service to compliment it all. Definitely worth trying out when looking for a good Indian restaurant.
