Everyone takes pride in their role in service. This is a picture of my Biltong and Mushroom soup
#1 Steakhouse and #3 Restaurant in Pretoria and I can easily see why.<br/ <br/ My only feedback or suggestion is for everyone interacting on the floor to know the specials of the day, especially, if the same person who gave the specials of the day is not the one taking the order.<br/ <br/ With that out of mind, #Tasteful place, with amazing people. I can not fault.<br/ <br/ Every moment was an experience. From the aquarium, to the isle of wine, to the comfortable chairs and generous hosts.<br/ <br/ My starter was #Mushroom Biltong soup and my partner had Beef Trichado.<br/ <br/ The texture of the shaved Biltong was pleasant surprise on my palate and relief from the Creamy Mushroom punch of flavor! My Partner's Per-Peri Beef Trichado was tender and spicy. The peri-peri sauce was a kicker and requested again for the main. YEP! That good!<br/ <br/ #PerfectTiming on the mains. I must say, the lamp was respected, and the piece of steak I got from my partner was melt in your mouth heaven. Easily one of the best steaks I've had in my life thus far. Something as unmemorable as mash was memorable. The salad for me, was quite bitter and I think it throws meals off and doesn't serve the purpose it's meant to for the generous portion of food.<br/ <br/ I've easily sum up my experience by not having one picture. I was pleasantly surprised when I was surprised with a birthday dinner at Pachas. As soon as we arrived, we received a warm welcome at the door and our table was ready for us. Jennifer, our waitress, took our drink orders while the owners personally came to our table to recommend some dishes for the evening. Everything on the menu sounded delicious, so we decided to try the Brie in phyllo (9/10) and the Springbok carpaccio (9/10) as starters, followed by the Pork Belly (8.5/10) and Lamb shoulder (8.5/10) as mains. For dessert, we indulged in the Chocolate Fondant (8/10) and the Kahlua Dom Pedro (9/10). The service was excellent and the attention from the management made the evening even more special. We definitely plan on returning to Pachas in the future.
We celebrated our anniversary with a delicious meal at this restaurant. Every little detail was excellent, but I would suggest playing different music as the current selection didn't match the ambiance of the dining experience and sounded like a generic radio station.
We went to Pachas for my husbands 40th birthday. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment. The two ladies who helped us were extremely helpful and the service was impeccable. We never had to wait for any food and all the food that came out was absolutely delicious. We had our own private room which was perfect for our function. Seriously impressed.
