However, the Christmas 2022 storm kept our out-of-town relatives from reaching Wellington, forcing us to cancel. Thankfully, East and Main opened their doors the following day to accommodate us. The service and food were exceptional. Thank you for coming to our rescue - we will definitely return!
We were having a lovely meal—the food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy, and it was shaping up to be a fantastic evening. However, while I was savoring the last sip of my wine, our server informed us that the next guests were waiting for our table. We were taken aback that, after only an hour and having spent $146.00 on dinner (including tip), we were being asked to rush out. I have never encountered anything like this before, and it may be a long time, if ever, before we return. As newcomers to Wellington, we will continue searching for our new favorite spot.
I visited this restaurant to celebrate a friend's birthday during our trip to Prince Edward County. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly, and both the cocktails and food were outstanding. It was one of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. I highly recommend this place!
Had the Blackened Atlantic Salmon which was very nice but the very plain white (jasmine) rice served with it was absolutely cold. The salad accompanying it was good. But we noticed that a 20% gratuity was automatically added to the bill, which we weren't aware of. THEN, when we went to pay at the cash the waitress didn't seem to be aware of this gratuity charge practice, pretending to know nothing about it. So we would have ended up paying a 40% tip, if we hadn't been careful.
