Casa tradicional is a must, while in puerto vallarta. the entertainment and the mood of the place is all about fun. the personal is amazing and eating delicious. led by a local family, we visited many paintings and could visit (and mostly do). every night. we visited over three years ago and returned this month and it was like old times. absolutely highly recommended.
I loved this restaurant. the salsa was prepared on our table with warm roasted tomatoes. delicious. husband has chickenfajitas, illuminated tableside. I had the otopus. so fresh and perfectly cooked. the musicians were funny and the atmosphere was alive. highly recommended.
Not really a bad restaurant. Just average. No view. Average food ..... not bad, just no better than you can get at a thousand other Mexican restaurants for less . What I really didn't like was having a woman come to the table to make...fresh salsa and front and center on her work surface was a tip jar. The salsa was no better than what's provided freely at literally every other Mexican restaurant I have ever been to in my life (both in Mexico and at home). I generally tip well but I don't like to be guilted into it.
While the location of this restaurant was nice (right by the church) the food was mediocre at best. You will be better off going next door for your meal. There are so many great dining options in PV, don't waste your time on this one. We didn't go to Mexico to eat at "Azteca".
