Someone from the hotel recommended this little restaurant, almost a hole in the wall, on Popa street; so we decided to try it out. It turns out they had not been open for long and were starting to ramp up their business. At the time they were only open until 6pm. Decided to share this place because it was one of those places that are memorable because the food was authentic, fresh and delicious (and very reasonably priced : . It is family owned and operated and very friendly, they were actually making the tortillas by hand (my favorite tortillas and the other Mexican antojitos like huaraches, sopes, etc were delicious, and we just loved them (the huaraches were our favorites . The pico de gallo (called salsa Mexicana around there was great and the fruit juices were all natural and fresh (we like the green juice they made, if you are a little adventurous, it is quite tasty and supposed to be very healthy : . We had lunch there twice. It was nice to find some tasty real Mexican food among all the other fancier restaurants in the area, Hopefully by now they are opening longer hours, but if not, this is a perfect late breakfast/lunch spot if you are in the area and are in the mood for some tasty authentic Mexican Antojitos. Enjoy!
Lástima que ya cerró después de tantos años en la zona. Exclente lugar para desayunar o comer. Paquetes de desayuno y comida a precios sumamente accesibles y siempre con el sazón casero que lo caracterizó...
