We always have a great spot and the waitress knows us. It's a good place for import beers and since we drink mostly the Belgian imports those are always fresh. If you go for more obscure brew you may find that they are past their expiry date.Food is good but nothing to call home for. Typical americanised pub fare with a few local offering. Fish&Chips is a bit soggy and "chips" are tiny fries. I like the "patte de porc" (pork knuckle) served with saurkraut and potoatos.A good place to enjoy an evening with friends. Maybe you'll rub elbows with the less fortunates but that's all the charm of the "Basse-Ville" where all the classes intermingle in harmony.
The pub/resto was quiet the night we were there, but the waitresses were very helpful, even to those who just stopped in to examine the menu. They advertise over 200 beers from around the world although they did not have my favourites there were plenty I had never heard of and many were local. The food was also good. I had the house sausages and sourkraut made with beer - an excellent meal. My wife had a berger and said it was good. There was plenty to eat on each plate, so that I did not have room to try the toffee pudding. You must be over 18 to get in.
Spent a couple of hours in this nice little pub just below Old Quebec. The food was nice and beer was reasonably priced. Definitely worth a stop if you've wandered out of old town.
We stopped here last week, hoping to be reminded of the Uk (we are a little homesick). I had a burger and a half pint of Samuel Adams- both went down a treat! My husband had the chicken clubhouse, which he said was a little dry, but enjoyed. The place needs more attention to detail, but was good overall.
Stopped in here late Saturday for dinner and beer. The food, beer and service were all excellent. The price for everything was great too. Highly recommend stopping in for a burger and beer.
