The vegan super shell with black, old cereal, avo, mushrooms, spinach and beet root hummus was great. They also have a burger they can veganize and many other options on the menu are very happy to be vegan. The warm, welcoming atmosphere and a café with high ceilings and comfortable couches added to the pleasure. The price was reasonable.
Despite not having much to offer, the restaurant at the railway in Queenstown, Tasmania is exceptional. The vegan super bowl, featuring black ancient grain rice, avocado, mushrooms, spinach, and beetroot hummus, was delicious. They also offer a veganized burger and many other menu options that can be adjusted to suit vegan preferences. The cozy atmosphere, complete with high ceilings and comfortable couches, added to the overall dining experience. The prices were also reasonable.
I asked the staff to show me their vegan options, and the only choice they had was the vegan super bowl on their all-day breakfast menu, priced at $15.50. Instead, I opted for a bowl of hot chips with tomato sauce and BBQ sauce on the side, which totaled $8.00. The chips were tasty and crispy, but unfortunately, they came in a container that was not vegan (I confirmed this with the chef). The tomato sauce had a delicious chutney-like flavor, while the BBQ sauce was fairly standard. I hope to see more vegan options added to the menu in the future. If you're craving a vegan pizza, I recommend trying the vegetarian option without cheese at the pizza shop down the street. There are no specific vegan options on the menu here, so I wouldn't recommend adding it to Happy Cow, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
Queenstown, Tasmania may not have much to offer in terms of activities, but this restaurant located in an old railway station is fantastic. I tried the vegan super shell with black olives, avo, mushrooms, spinach, and beetroot hummus, and it was delicious. They also offer vegan options like a veganized burger and many other dishes on the menu can be made vegan-friendly. The cozy atmosphere, high ceilings, and comfortable couches at the cafe added to the overall experience. The prices were also very reasonable.
The cheeseburger at this restaurant can be made vegan with vegan aioli, and it was absolutely delicious. Served with a side of fries, it greatly exceeded my expectations.
