Bistek Ilocano was excellent as was the Poqui Poqui grilled eggplant sauteed with onions tomatoes. The dessert we took out Old Fashioned Chocolate Cake was sinfully rich. Moist chocolate cake with mocha cream filling and frosted with chocolate fudge icing.
One of Quezon City's best kept secrets. I would describe it as elegant and sophisticated, but down to earth as well. My faves are the poqui poqui, ginisang monggo, and crispy belly. They also serve Heny Sison's cakes. Can get quite busy especially on Sundays so be ready to queue for a while. Service is hit and miss. Ambience is gorgeous.
I had my 19th birthday celebrated here. The restaurant has a vintage ambience. I’m an Ilocana which made their dishes taste just average to me but served good and presentable. Prices were quite expensive but not surprising because it’s a fancy restaurant. The staffs were very polite and I loved how they patiently waited for us to finish our food even if it was already beyond their operating hours. All in all, it was a great and memorable experience for me, most especially when the staffs surprised me by singing a cheery ‘happy birthday’ song whilst handing me a lovely red velvet cake with a candle on top.
Been to this place a second time, and I really chose to go back because the food is amongst the best. They are famous for their gising gising, kare kare and ohhh their crispy pata! But thd highlight of your meal will be the dessert: Mango Torte is the best!! I ordered the Red Velvet too, but their Mango Torte is priceless!
Filipino comfort food at its finest perhaps. This is a go-to for my titas and titos. I liked the little shop inside the restaurant too where they sell chips and other snacks! Food choices were excellent.
