Rahway Fried Chicken

I found this place while exploring en route back to the NJTransit station. Rahway is in deep trouble if this is the best fried chicken they can do! The place is no frills, with very colorful menus hanging up. Several tables and an ice cream counter. The chicken is quick and cheap but tastes like it is. I got the two piece mix for $6.40. The chicken was bland and super dry and got caught in my throat several times. I didn't eat it the same day but fried chicken should still hold up and other fried chicken I have tastes good the next day. The bread was hard so I wrapped it in a moist paper towel to reconstitute it in the microwave and it did the trick! It was soft and pillowy and when I took bite I got lots of air and the rest of the bread in my mouth deflated into something that reminds me of woody cellulose dough. I chucked the rest. The service is quick and employee was nice and deserves the stars.

This spot is the very definition of more than meets the eye. In my quest to explore the area a bit further I stumbled upon this chicken spot looking for something cheap and filling. However, I was left with the impression that this is more than your run of the mills chicken fix. Environment From the outside it would appear to be your typical chicken spot serving grease and a tummy ache. Yet, walk inside and it become quite apparent the store is clean and in my experience I was well received. Food I ordered a fried chicken platter with fries that didn 't disappoint. The chicken was far more flavorful and juicy than expected. The fries were of the basic string variety but didn 't hold much seasoning. THE SAUCE Not a bad choice for a wild Saturday night rendezvous or anyone in need of a quick comfort meal. The price won 't break your wallet and the food delivers.Happy eating!

The girls are always nice here. If you want something quick and good to eat you should definitely stop by. I've only pretty much had their Buffalo wings which are really good and their beef Pattie's but I see people order everything here. Great prices and always clean! I recently ordered $60 worth of food, and unfortunately, it was quite disappointing. The chicken fingers were mostly batter with very little chicken, and the hot wings were excessively salty.

The drums n flats were so salty and the full wings were bland. They didn't pay any attention to my request for no rolls. If I'm gonna indulge in a guilty pleasure, would like some actual pleasure. A reminder that unhealthy food is just not worth it.
