Which is great as there are loads of places in the locality. The pub itself is worth a visit and definitely it 's better staying in the rooms as the roads around are nice old country roads . The restaurant serves good food at reasonable prices, and the English breakfast was a great start to the that days exploring. Would I stay here again? Definitely! (But, as a warning, just watch out for those old spiral stairs if you 're staying there the night! We were in the Wychwood room that is only only flight up, and there was another room above us.
Enjoyed a beautiful bfast well cooked and tasty Was good to talk with the chefs too a nice friendly bunch Enjoyed chatting with them And eating there food 10 out of 10 Well done keep up the good work
Food drinks: Had lunch with a friend and we both took our dogs with us. The food was absolutely lovely, we both had the beef burger, it was delicious. It had goats cheese with it, again neither my friend or myself like goats cheese and there was no problem at all to change the cheese, the result delicious. We both also had a ginger beer to drink a good make of ginger beer and excellent offer to find the meal. Nothing was too much trouble and our pooches were treated like royalty too.
Very disappointed with one of the female staff, after spending loads of money during late afternoon and evening we did not expect to be questioned why we need another drink before our taxi arrived . Also questioned on an occasion when picking up my car 10am and asked what do I want in an abrupt manner by the same member of staff.
An amazing weekend away. Brilliant rooms, food, and service in a picturesque village. The only very minor negative was the £16 dog charge at the end of our stay I’d rather this was included in the upfront cost. Otherwise, it was perfect! Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
