The restaurant was busy, but we hadn't been there in a while and wanted to give it another try. The mixed seafood grill was a generous portion and tasted pretty good. The chips were cooked well and the seafood was nicely seasoned. The prawns were especially delicious.
Have had fish and chips from here before although it was a few years ago and they have been ok but this visit it was very disappointing. Had calamari rings and the batter on them was soggy, also ordered flathead and chips, same thing , really soggy batter, hours later we were still burping the fatty taste, both had indigestion afterwards. Wont be returning.
It was a sunny day and a great day for fish and chips. This little discovery which was absolutely packed with customers told a story. I am usually quite critical of quantity and quality provided by such businesses but no complaints here. Beautiful tasting barramundi, chargrilled octopus and chips. It was quality and well grilled. The wait was awhile due to the patronage and seating was extremely limited but once seated, it was worth it. Strongly recommend this place if you are local or driving by. The only negative was that eftpos was down. This is a common problem on weekends for small businesses.
Very basic in its approach. Make sure that you get your own serviettes and cutlery, as they certainly won't include them in your takeaway.
We ordered a grilled fish burger and a grilled flathead meal. The fries were okay, but unfortunately, the fish was not fresh. The burger was soggy and hardly appetizing.
