Morada - Rancho Santa Fe

Typically love this place and go there frequently … waiter was lovely but guessing this is another “under staffed” situation as with many restaurants. Food came out wrong for one dish, another dish came out cold, a third dish had maaaaybe of chicken which was really paltry.

We had a reservation and were one of the few guests at that time. By restaurant was packed. Service was a bit slow but expected due to being short staffed. Everything we ordered was excellent and well-prepared.

We love this place! The outdoor eating area is so nice, food is excellent, waitstaff couldn't be better, highly recommend!

We have been to Morada several times for brunch, always excellent. This was our first dinner outing and we found it hit-or-miss. My dish and my child's were very good, but my wife and our guest order macaroni and cheese and it was really terrible: overcooked pasta, barely any cheese: dismayingly poor execution. I ordered port for dessert, it never arrived. We'll probably go back, because the place is just so nice (a hidden gem in San Diego), but there's definitely room for improvement

I ordered the surf and turf with truffle mashed potatoes. The lobster and tenderloin were cooked perfectly. However, I couldn’t taste any truffle in the mashed potatoes. Otherwise I would have given them stars.
