Thyme In The Ranch - Rancho Santa Fe

This is my daughter’s and my go-to spot whenever I visit her in San Diego. The food is always fresh and thoughtfully prepared, and their pies and cakes are nothing short of spectacular.

The food is decent but nothing special compared to other restaurants. The bakery items didn’t seem very appealing in terms of presentation, though they might taste good. I didn’t try any of them.

I enjoyed a delicious sandwich, but unfortunately, I found a fly squished into the tomato. I brought this to the server's attention, and she asked me what I wanted her to do about it, which I found a bit surprising—there was no apology. Eventually, after I requested it, they did refund my order. Given how nice the place is, I expected better customer service when encountering an insect in an expensive sandwich.

Loved the Meatloaf sandwich and their wonderful ice tea.

The food is designed to make you older. Flour, Sugar, sauces. The staff is lovely! Service is perfect.
