Sure, they used actual blueberries but who knows if they're fresh. The veggie skillet smelled like ass....and, somehow, they managed to make veggies taste absolutely disgusting. Our server was good tho +1 star).
If I could zero star this place I would. The menu is misleading when ordering plates and there is no communication from the waitress to the guests. The food is over priced, $6.49 for two slices of under cooked “French toast”, no thanks. When we brought the under cooked french toast to our waitress’ attention, nothing was offered to be replaced or corrected. We were then brought the bill for all food, including the toast I took half a bite of. The other two plates on the table were cooked, slightly bland, but had no issue paying for. The manager sat and watched our experience from behind a counter. When speaking to the manager we were informed she “doesn’t make the prices”, which we weren’t arguing. Our only issue was paying for under cooked, uneaten food. She removed the meal from our ticket, we paid, and left with the locals staring at us like we were criminals. Probably not the best spot for traveling through..
They are in no hurry here, 2 different servers were trying to help each other I guess but it took forever just to get a soda and even longer to get food. One server had a hole in their shirt and the others shirt had white stuff all down the front. We honestly should have just walked out. Over an hour for cold food.... As we left there was a small child maybe 2 running in and out of the kitchen, not the most sanitary or safe. This place is a hot mess.
Stood at the counter for 5 minutes without being acknowledged. Seated then had to get up and get our own coffee (which was terrible). There before 8 am and the salad bar was already set up. Dirty tables for the whole 35 minutes we were there. Biscuits and Gravy were awful, toast came 5 minutes after the rest of the meal and was cold to the touch. Hash browns were barely cooked. Service was laughable. Easily one of the worst breakfast experiences we've had. At least we will have a story to laugh about.
If you find yourself in a bit of a bind, like we were, with everything else closed, this place will surprise you. The food is pretty average but decent, and the service was quite good. The waitress had really cool hair and was friendly. The other guests felt like characters from a movie—quirky but nice. Overall, it's a good spot to visit. We read a review beforehand that advised against going here, but that opinion was way off.
