Jolly Sailor - Redcar and Cleveland

DISGUSTING..Had the parmo , absolutely swimming in grease, the chicken was chicken strips the béchamel was grey and mixed into the greasy breadcrumbs after waiting 40 minutes to say we were disappointed is an understatement

This place is absolute gobshite. Literally. The food is dry as anything, and the atmosphere was pathetic. Do not recommend.

Gone completely down hill, very poor food, all 6 of us said we would never return having dined there many times before. The food is simply not up to a good standard at all. I was refused a child’s meal with no explanation why. I should have said I was identifying as a child and see what they said then. Zero atmosphere, expensive for poor quality food.

We popped in early evening and the pub traditionally decorated and furnished was throbbing. I had hunters chicken, chips and salad. It was first class and cooked exactly as I like it. I do recommend giving this at try. The chips we’re home made and delicious and the nice salad made it healthy food! The draught beer was fresh My partner had chicken burger and chips and thoroughly enjoyed it. The staff were courteous, prompt and attentive.

We came today 3rd Sept 2023 ,had an amazing Sunday lunch my partner had the pork I had the turkey come with lovely veg mushy peas I was well chuffed .The staff were friendly attentive always clearing tables when people left it was a smashing first time being here but not our last well Done the jolly sailor.
