One Up - Redcar

The staff at this restaurant is wonderful, providing friendly service. They also host great music nights. I highly recommend this place as a hidden gem.

Excellent bar, staff were fantastic, great atmosphere

I previously gave The One Down a 5-star review, but unfortunately, things have taken a turn for the worse. We usually only visit the bar at night, and we were disappointed to find that the San Miguel lager we enjoy is now priced at £5 per pint. Additionally, the beer we were served was noticeably short, coming in at least an inch and a quarter below the top of the glass. Despite asking the barman/owner twice to top up our drinks, he was very reluctant to do so. With only one person behind the bar serving cocktails to other customers, it took us an extra 10 minutes to order our drinks. Unfortunately, these short measures have led us to reconsider our loyalty to this establishment. While we appreciate the atmosphere, we will not be returning. Prices range from £1-£10 per person, service rating is 1, and the atmosphere rating is 5.

I can't believe I haven't visited this place before... it's such a cool hidden gem! The staff is lovely, the beers are tasty, and there's even live music! This is definitely the best kept secret in Redcar!
