After struggling to find parking, I eventually parked near Bart's Place in Lota. Seeing a long line at the Fish Chips store, I decided to take a walk along the shore with my family. We found a shady spot under a tree and set up our picnic while I went to order lunch at Bart's at 1pm. The dining area was full, but I managed to place my order for whiting, scallops, oysters, and chips for $46. After a 30-minute wait, I returned to my hungry companions, who were not pleased with the wait. Despite this, we enjoyed our picnic lunch, with the whiting being a bit overcooked, the scallops juicy and tasty, and the oysters fresh and well-fried. The chips were also good. Overall, it was a pleasant picnic lunch on a busy day for the kitchen. Thank you, Bart's!
This is a fantastic spot for a fish and chips cafe. We enjoyed some delicious Coffin Bay Oysters, Moreton Bay Bugs, and prawns with a side salad. It's a perfect spot for a lunch outing.
I have always found the food at this restaurant to be consistently good to very good. It may be a bit pricey, but as they say, you get what you pay for. The service is usually pretty good, although the owners can come across as a bit arrogant, which might deter some people. Despite this, I will definitely be returning.
First timers on 8th Dec 2013..absolutely loved it!! Hope the service and food doesn't change...loved the bread and butter..nice touch..freshest fish we have tried in Australia in 6yrs...we will be back!
Fresh fish, prawns and bugs, nice chips, a little on the exy side but worth it for fresh tasty seafood.
