Now haddock is always my fish of choice when in UK so this was my order with mushy peas of course those original soft oily British chips. Haddock was meaty, chunky white melted in the mouth the sunset was great
Easily One of the best chip shops around, pricing is slightly more compared to your regular aussie chip shop, but once you get your food you see why, portion sizes are great, and the quality is fantastic. The chips are 100% the best around.
Two of the things i miss most from the UK (apart from friends and family of course! are the beer and the propper fish and chip shop chips, and luckily for me they have both of those things here! That is not to mention the incredible scampi and haddock!! An added bonus is Wellington point nearby to go and eat with a beautiful view.
This is a brilliant fish&chips cafe well worth the visit, keep in mind its very very popular and there is a long wait (long long line! if you get there late especial on holidays. But beautiful fish and friendly staff. Also you can 'up-size ' on fish size which is giant!
A common quest for Australians is to find the perfect fish<br/ and chips shop. <br/ <br/ Many of note emerge – like Blue Ocean Seafood at Camp Hill<br/ and the Fishmongers Wife at Hawthorne. <br/ <br/ Chumley Warner follows suit, it is brilliant! <br/ <br/ Absolutely beautifully cooked fish – I would strongly<br/ recommend the Haddock or Cod doused in vinegar and salt – ethereal food. <br/ <br/ The chips are soggy, but sensational – a real British<br/ element. <br/ <br/ I strongly recommend Chumley Warner to any fish and chip enthusiast – it is fantastic food.
