Not the first time we have dined at the Koala Tavern, but this visit was certainly noteworthy and we will be going back again.Mains start from $10.95 for the roast pork up to $26.95 for the Chicken Deluxe or Seafood Basket.Chicken Schnitzel was the best I have eaten in a very long time, tender, cooked perfectly and served with fries and salad that was drizzled in a light flavoursome dressing.Hubby ordered the double rump with mushroom sauce and struggled to eat this hearty sized meal.Service was very good and staff were really pleasant, no complaints about customer service.We decided to go into the gaming room to check out the pokies as the air conditioning was certainly better than going outside to the summer humidity. There is free tea, coffee and lollies to be consumed if you feel the need and to my hubby's delight a lovely staff member was bring round connoisseur ice-cream for guests free of charge. His comment "this could become our regular Sunday place to go"

The food here was of a very high standard but, more than anything else, the level of service was brilliant. I must follow a gluten free diet so dining out can be a minefield. The staff member who served me was very understanding of my issues, knew exactly what items on the menu were suitable, right down to the fact that the fries had a wheat flower coating. when my meal was delivered to the table with a pot of tartare sauce my waiter instantly removed it as he wasn't sure if it was GF. He checked then came back to apologise for the fact that it wasn't and that it had been served with my meal. Happy to go back here for casual dining

The restaurant has a typical pub atmosphere. We reserved a table to watch a performance by Jaden Boon, the Comedy Hypnotist. We made a reservation for dinner an hour before the show. Our food was brought out right when the doors opened for the performance. We were able to bring our food into the function room, but it would have been preferable to have dinner before the show. When I made the reservation, I specifically mentioned that we were attending the show. The staff assured me that an hour would be enough time to eat before the performance.

‘Wet day’ spontaneous lunch with Husband came here cautiously as we didn’t think they were open. Lunch was fantastic Rib special with chips executed perfectly with right portion size to cost ratio (very, very good chips and rib sauce) and Porcini Mushroom Risotto given the ridiculous award !! Absolutely delicious. Good cold beer and nice quiet atmosphere with background music as it should be there, but not too loud you can’t talk. Staff friendly and helpful and also have great daily specials ie kids eat free Tuesday etc. Will definitely be back!
