Frau Schmidt Cakery - Redondo Beach

We were extremely disappointed with our experience at this restaurant. We had high expectations for our special occasion and even explicitly asked what would happen if the cake were damaged during delivery, to which they assured us it had never happened before. Unfortunately, our cake arrived broken. They did offer us a replacement, which was nice, but I would have preferred to have a cake that wasn't damaged for our celebration. Additionally, we had discussed saving a piece of cake in the freezer for our first anniversary, but they suggested coming back for a fresh cake instead. Unfortunately, by the time we returned, the restaurant had closed. As a result, we only had a damaged cake for our celebration and no cake for our anniversary. This was not the experience I had in mind for such a special occasion.

Everything is handmade in business, super fresh, and there are delicious vegan options for me. I'm probably there twice a week.

Andrea is a great pastry chef and owner of Frau Schmidt Cupcakes and Dreams. I can highly recommend her Chocolate Cupcakes with Vanilla Frosting. They are just delicious!

Perfection. I picked up some items for a host. Patrick’s special cake, macrons, and another treat. Our hosts were delighted. These desserts bring interest and joy to all who are lucky enough to be gifted with them.

A birthday without one of Andrea's excellent cakes is a wasted birthday! And if you're not fast enough, your guests probably won't let you get a second bite. It's just too delicious! ;
