Our server was really friendly and professional. The taste of the sandwich was fantastic. It had a nice kick to it, but not overwhelming. The bread was fluffy and fresh, and whatever sauce and toppings they used were excellent. They describe the flavor and heat of their sandwich as a blend of Nashville and Szechuan, and we completely agree. We can’t wait to come back soon! This is a beloved classic—who doesn’t love fried chicken?
They also offer Chinese dishes such as BBQ meat and scallion pancakes. We ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, thinking I knew what to expect, but it still surprised me. Not only did it look fantastic, but it was also quite hefty—around 1 to 1.5 pounds! The chicken breast was massive, and if I were just judging based on that, I’d easily give it 5 stars. It had the perfect crispy texture and was juicy on the inside. It's definitely enough to feed two people for $12.50. My only critique is that it wasn't very spicy, so they could stand to crank up the heat a bit. I also wanted to try their other offerings, so I went for the Chinese BBQ meat. Unfortunately, it didn’t impress. The meat was dry and tough, and it just didn’t appeal to me. On the plus side, the service was excellent. The staff were incredibly friendly, and the food arrived quickly. I’m definitely planning to return to try more items on the menu, but if you’re a first-timer, I highly recommend trying the chicken sandwich!
**Hot Chicken Sandwich - $12.50** This sandwich features a large fried chicken breast drizzled with honey, comeback sauce, pickles, and seasoned with chili powder and Szechuan peppercorn. I was pleasantly surprised by the size of the chicken—it was massive! Definitely worth the price as it was nearly the size of my face. I came across some reviews mentioning that the chicken was dry, but my experience was the opposite; my sandwich was cooked to perfection. The chicken was tender, juicy, and had a nice crispy crust. I opted for the "hot" level of spice, and for those who enjoy heat, I recommend going a notch higher. As a first-time visitor, I was intrigued by the spice levels they offered: Original (no heat), Mild (slight heat), Medium (warming up), Hot (fire starter), X Hot (burning), and Super (dangerous). The sandwich also comes with three jumbo tenders that were just as sizable! **Chinese Crepe with Duck - $12.99** This dish contained egg, multi-mix flour, hoisin sauce, chicken paste, scallions, and crunchy wonton pieces. It resembles a jianbing, which I had never tried before, and I was eager to taste it. While it was good, I’m a bit unsure if I truly liked it due to the variety of ingredients—it had a lot going on texturally. However, the added duck was flavorful and moist, making a great complement to the dish. **Restaurant Ambiance** The restaurant is family-friendly but not pet-friendly, with ample parking available. The interior is small and quite simple, typical for many Chinese eateries. It was clean, though seating was limited with about five tables accommodating two to four people, plus bar-style seating along the window. Personally, I prefer restaurants to invest more in their food than in decor. **Staff** It feels like a family-owned business. When we arrived, there was a child behind the counter—probably around ten years old—ringing a bell to alert his mother! She was incredibly friendly, adding to the welcoming atmosphere of the place.
Friday afternoon for lunch we thought everything was fresh. based on some of the reviews we got the chicken sandwich it was ok we didn't have the spicy one that might have been the reason that it was just ok. we also got the grill pork and roasted were old and both were terrible. both were mad that they were reheated and stale. would not recommend any of the other foods. Maybe the chicken sandwiches are okay, but nothing else would order. the prices are also a bit high for what they get definitiw sub par.
When you think hole in the wall I hope this is what you have it mind because it is EXACTLY that! I believe at one point they had dine-in prior to COVID but for now there is no dine-in and you order from the side door and eat in your car or take it home. I 'm not familiar with many hot fried chicken places around here so wanted to give this place a try and it didn 't let down. Not the most amazing chicken sandwiches I 've had but for the options and variety I enjoyed it. You can get the single chicken sandwich (big one) or 2 of the chicken tender sandwiches for the same price. I opted for one spicy and one regular chicken tender sandwich and both were good with just the right amount of sauce and toppings. Honestly it 's just me but if I 'm craving a chicken sandwich I don 't want to spend half the meal eating through the chicken tender before I touch the bread, I 'll just get chicken tenders at that point (Sue me). On a side note: I am not very spicy tolerant and the spicy chicken tender sandwich was very tolerable for me, like almost non-existent which was surprising. Not sure if the normal spicy is like that or to up there flavor you really gotta request some heat. All in all it 's a decent hot chicken place with other options to choose from and I didn 't leave disappointed.
