Nomad Food Co - Revelstoke

We stopped for lunch for the first time and our experience was very good. The hand-cut frits were delicious. Both our regular burger and the chicken burger were quite tasty, with the chicken being nice and damp. We need to come back to try a shake the range of flavors looks great! We also liked the representation of local artworks. Finally, the staff was very polite and helpful the service was perfect.

Hearty, delicious food and excellent service. We try to eat when we travel through Revelstoke. The pictures show the chicken Pesto Panini with the daily soup and the Tandoori chicken Panini with frits.

Ordered the veggie burger, while my buddies ordered the beef. They found their burgers to be above average. My burger was a bit dry but probably due to being a veggie patty. The fries were good and you can tell that their fresh. Ice cream was excellent. The used the patio which was clean and beautiful outside. Washrooms were clean which was surprising because they're outdoors and normally you don't find outdoor bathrooms clean. The service was excellent and fairly quick, didn't need to wait long for the food.

Meh…. Half decent. Not a lot of options in town unless you want over priced hipster garbage food or terrible sushi. This place is expensive for what you get. When we went they were sold out of a few things and the only drinks they had were IceTea or Lemonade… how do you run out of pop? They were sold out of fish and chicken too… lame. Burger was a hand made patty, so that was good. If you just got a beef burger I would give it 5 stars but the everything else lowered the score. The poutine was bad. Just bad. Fries weren’t hot enough to melt the freezing cold cheese curds and it looked like chicken gravy from KFC with almost no flavour. Very pathetic attempt at a poutine. My wife had coleslaw. She complained it was terrible but didn’t elaborate and didn’t really eat it. All in all… if you want a good beef burger go here and just get a regular order of fries I guess. Very slow too. We waited 30 mins for food, but they told us before ordering it would be about 25-30 min so at least they are upfront about the wait so that was nice even though it was still slow. They also seem to have a wasp problem. We were on the patio and I killed 3 wasps before even getting our food and once we had feed we were getting harassed almost non stop by the little monsters. You guys need to call pest control. If someone has an allergy and gets stung there guess who gets to deal with it. There must be a nest close by considering the amount of them and their persistency.

Well, spectacularly underwhelming! After asking numerous locals about where would be a good place to eat, not a single one recommended this place! I suppose I should have been more attentive and listened to their suggestions and gone somewhere, anywhere but here but on a whim I thought “well how bad could it be?” I at first thought maybe I should try the chicken but after inquiring about what pieces were included the answer was so vague and evasive that I decided not to order as it sounded like I’d just receive wings and drumsticks in the 5 piece meal but no guarantee whatsoever about what it may or may not contain other than five pieces of unknown description, bizarre... I decided on the fish and chips . To be fair the food was palatable but not exceptional also very small portions, I guess I’m spoiled by the fish and chips places in the lower mainland which are cheaper with larger portions. Regardless I was left with snarky service from the one worker, poor value, mediocre food and I’m still hungry! While waiting for my takeout meal another customer came in and waited a good 7-8 minutes before finally asking me if I had seen anyone working there, I replied that I had placed an order and after that the two girls and guy I saw in the kitchen had seemingly vanished (alien abduction? he finally hollered a couple of times and the snarky girl suddenly reappeared and helped the poor guy out, my food finally arrived and I made good my escape.
