The Good Source - Revin

Clean rooms. Attentive owner. Restaurant good quality and value. Secure bike storage. Easy parking. Would definitely stay again.

We spent a day in Revin, cruising with a boat on the Meuse river. It's about half an hour walk from the marina to the restaurant which we found on TripAdvisor. The place is a bit hidden but well worth the visit. Of course nobody speaks any other language but french but we manage to order a delicious meal.

Food was fine. The interior is very basic. Probably best place in Revin because all other restaurants sell kebab

This restaurant was recommended by a local so we had hopes that the food was good and not ridiculously priced. That was correct on both counts. The entree was good and it was followed by a palate cleanser of citron sorbet doused with a house secret liqueur. Very tasty! Both our mains were excellent and in a traditional French style. You could tell the chef the wife) was passionate about cooking it was cooked with love and well presented. I would have loved to sample the dessert du jour of gateau aux fruits but we were full. With small restaurants like these it's the little extras that make the experience nibbles with the aperitifs, sorbet amuse bouche) between courses, free bread, complimentary chocolates with coffee. Would definitely recommend and will definitely go back if we pass through here again

Un repas du soir très agréable. La nourriture ardennaise à l'honneur. Un gratin de maroilles avec boudin excellent. Dans les desserts, j'aurai proposé une tartelette aux myrtilles ou la traditionnelle au sucre.Mais peut-être que certains jours, elles sont à la carte?? Les patrons sont très sympathiques et la terrasse très agréable.J'ai appris qu'il y a des chambres d'hôtes, à tester une autre fois.
