After exploring Reykjavik or hiking along the stunning Landmanalaugar trails, if you're looking for a top-notch dining experience in the capital with fresh ingredients, immaculate presentations, and modern design, this restaurant is a must-visit. Despite the unassuming entrance logo, the dedication in the kitchen, attentive service, and detailed descriptions of each dish make dining here a truly sensory delight. The menu features a fusion of local ingredients like salmon, halibut, lobster, and even whale (which is surprisingly delicious!) with more exotic flavors like papaya, coconut, mango, and other tropical fruits and vegetables. It was undeniably the best seafood we've ever tasted during our travels. Plus, it's not every day you get to try whale!

This high quality restaurant in the middle of Reykjavik is surprisingly affordable. Opt for the wine pairing and you'll be pleasantly surprised by the price. With a cost of around 120€ per person, you can enjoy a sublime tasting menu and spectacular sushi offerings. The Arctic seafood here is some of the best on the island.

The food was excellent, the service was very good, and the wine selection was impressive. The soup was delicious and the tuna tartare was expertly prepared. The overall atmosphere of the restaurant was pleasant and the location was convenient in the city center.

This restaurant was amazing! Both my friend and I agree it was the best in the world. We will definitely be returning. The seafood and wine were delicious.

Second time in Reykjavik and second time eating at Fish Mrkt. The meal was incredible finished off with a delish desert. Celina, our server was very knowledgeable and made great suggestions.
