There is a vegetarian and vegan brunch on the menu (11:30-16:00). the vegan brunch is very delicious thanks to intelligent fruit-veggie-spice combinations.

This small restaurant inside the food hall has a small menu with many vegetarian options and a few vegan ones. I had two small plates, and that was more than enough for one person. Loved the Icelandic rhubarb and apple cider.

Wanted to try Skal after reading the reviews and looking over the menu online. When we got there, the hall was packed. Clearly, Hlemmur Hall was popular. One of the signs above the bar clearly stated, vegan food. Nice, they really want vegan customers to know that they can eat here. However, when we were finally able to order, and we are shown the day's menu we are told they only have two vegan items on offer today, both identified as starters One, was french fries, the other was kimchi. Oh, and they were sold out of the fries. While either option may have been tasty, we wouldn't know. We were looking for dinner and a side helping of kimchi alone wasn't going to cut it. The moral of this review is, just because they claim to serve vegan dishes, it doesn't mean they will actually have things available. Considering happy cows standards for including non vegan restaurants on the site, my experience at skal raises questions whether it should still be included here. If you have a similar experience, know that Mai Thai is across the street.

Had the crushed potatoes with chives the hot dog, it was really good. Although the hot dog was massive so probably could’ve skipped the potatoes!

I wanted to try the hotdog, but they only do it after 4pm. Before that, it's the brunch menu. So, I had the vegan brunch, which was really good. Lovely presentation of the food, the portions were not too big, but not too small either, though given the price (2950 crowns), a bit more food wouldn't have been lost... But it was really good and the staff really nice and friendly, so I'll definitely go back there. And this time, I'll make sure to be there after 4pm to try their hotdog!
