I tried to order a sausage roll because it was still one in the stand, but it was said that it was the “Display one” shockingly overpriced for such deorganisation, I have never seen a 9 dollar cake in my life in a small caffe! I was very advised to clear this place at any kind of haste. (the park itself was excellent, however, only a scandal that the only day-long place was not on scratch.
Today it went to churchill island heritage farm where it had this caffe as part of the visitor center. we made a walk around the half of the island then went to the caffe. there were buzzing people who woke up so that we decided to see. in some of the historic houses hope when we came back that there was no longer a waiting queue. When we came back, there were about six people who had stopped so that we came to the waiting line. no menu will be displayed to see what to order. we saw menus on the table of someone, so we asked them if we could borrow one. I decided to roll two and a strawberry milkshake. my man chose a bark cake, icy coffee and a piece of lemon cake. it cost about $45 so expensive. I was looking for a table. there were some tables empty, but all had empty dishes from previous moss with the table that had not been deleted. I cleaned a 2 sitting on a larger table and cleaned the table with a cloth close to it. They don't know where the staff should clean the tables. the staff was slower when ordering than at the cash register. after 10 minutes my man showed up at the table I had found. then we waited and waited... and waited. twenty minutes later my earthly shaker appeared, an icey chocolate (my man did not know that it was chocolate) and the lemon of my man. my man said it would be nice to get our meals first before dessert. the waitress said we can leave it there or she could take it away. my man said, just leave it. he wanted to drink his ice cream and realized that it was an icey chocolate! he went to one of the waitresses behind the counter with the drink that asked about the ice cream. it took another 5 minutes before the replacement appeared. then we waited for our heads and waited and waited. my man ate his lemon cake. I had drunk my fruit milkshake and no eating! we have missed the agricultural activities that were planned, we noticed that we were not the only ones who were frustrated without getting their food, others had only partial delivery of their food some people waited for their food, while their friends had their. after 40 minutes, my man went on a waitress behind the counter and asked when we were throwing the two and getting the meat cake. at least over 10 minutes later, two plates appeared, each of which exhibits a sausage roll. my man said where the meatcake the two were thrown for a plate! the waitress disappeared that we sorted out the meatcake. in the meantime I ate the rolls, but not all, as they were very dry, they know that the feeling where they want to pull their teeth over their legs to get rid of this furry feeling as they were. I was so thirsty, but I didn't want to ask for another drink because of the debakel to make our order right. When I decided that I had eaten my rolls, my man's cake had not yet appeared. he took a teller and went to the same waitress he complained to before and said I had my teller, where is my meatcake? he was quite angry with this stage. she disappeared to get the cake. I noticed that a few people were scared in the register. the boss(owner) came to the cashier while he tried to visit the mozens and bring them to stop what she did and lead a sales-tale reception could not wait until all mozens were served or at the end of the day! over an hour later, the meat cake of my man turned around, it was hard like everything. had to break the baked in a saw as fashion. not much meat in it. he was not impressed at all. when we left the man, the waitress said that this was the worst eating experience he had. he told her how terrible the cake was. she asked about the castors and he reacted that they were not much better. I noticed that the table next door, one of the men was very angry that his suppe was not showed up, nor his burger. his burger finally appeared, but the suppe ended in a pick-up container. the kitchen is too small for the number of tables (which are crossed together inside) and there is no coordination or organization of orders not the waiting personnel problem, it is management and cook. it seems part of the orders are divided into the front counter staff and the rest into the kitchen. the waiters worked with an unorganized system management, which must be sorted out. we were absolutely disgusting with the service (the great delay in obtaining food) and the food we receive. the waitresses that my husband complained, tried to fix the problems and get us the right food, but it wasn't their fault when there were constant delays. the visit of the farm is in order, but take their own food if they want to eat there.
Friendly service. Plenty of space and great views, we enjoyed our flat whites and bowls of granola before walking around this beautiful island. Stunning views of Mornington Peninsular and Philip Island. a very special place. highly recommended
The cafe that we used to love visiting has unfortunately taken a turn for the worse. The views and atmosphere are still great, but it seems that a change in management has led to a decline in the quality of food. Many of our favorite menu items have been removed, and even the once delicious chips are now just basic frozen ones. The friendly and welcoming staff that we enjoyed interacting with have also seemed to disappear. It's a shame, as this will likely be our final visit to the cafe.
We stopped by on our way home and enjoyed lovely coffee and a delicious breakfast. The staff was friendly and efficient, and the atmosphere was nice.
