I visited the restaurant Hansel and Pretzel for the first time and was extremely impressed. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, with a variety of options to choose from. I particularly enjoyed the pretzel appetizer and the schnitzel entree. Overall, I had a fantastic dining experience at Hansel and Pretzel and will definitely be returning in the future.
I paid £4.60 for a cheese roll to go! With a bag of crisps and a small cake, my total came out to over £10. It was the most expensive on-the-go lunch I've ever had. I was shocked. The staff serving me didn't seem to care at all. I won't be coming back.
As my sister and me are from Austria we liked that German shop, brings back memories. We had a Fleischkäsesemmel which we call a Leberkäsesemmel, I haven't seen it anywhere else before. They have lovely German things to buy from.
This is the first time I've been in. I went to buy some sauerkraut and ended up with mustard, Maggi Würze and red cabbage with apple too. It's a small place with limited stock I only looked at the cans and jars and didn't really browse the cold meats and breads, Previous reviewers have said customer service was bad that was not my experience at all. One of the two teen/20s staff asked why I'd bought Würze one tedious anecdote about my life 50 years ago led to a conversation about what we both thought about Denmark. He didn't have to chat to me, but it was nice that he showed a friendly interest. So I'd say it's a good place.
