An attractive gastro pub style restaurant, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Any restaurant that has a "Smoked and Slow" section is pretty much guaranteed to win me over!<br/ <br/ I chose the Pork Knuckle which was excellent, tender, almost fall off the bone which is exactly as it should be. Only downside was that the menu said duck fat potatoes but what came out was a still very nice, potato salad. I didn't say anything, it was probably better for my waistline anyway and substitutions do happen but some acknowledgement that it was required is always appreciated. My parter had the trio of mini burgers which looked lovely and she was very happy with.<br/ <br/ Service was great, they were busy with only just enough staff on for the number of diners but they handled with relative ease. I am not in those parts too often but there is plenty on the menu to try that looked attractive so I would definitely return.
5 STARS!!! Had a fabulous lunch, outside in the beautiful sunshine in the Beer garden. Highly recommend the Barrel Grazing Share Plate, especially with the exquisite Merlot! Perfect venue to catch up with great friends, sharing delicious foods in a warm, friendly atmosphere! Shall definitely be back!
We have been to Barrels Ashes on many occasions and even had our staff christmas party there. The food is great, the venue is cool and the bar is awesome. They have an amazing selection of cocktails and beverages. We will be back again and again!
Have been here twice now and have loved it both times.<br/ <br/ Firstly the ambience and layout of the place is lively and lovely, have eaten outside both times, including Valentine’s Day which was a magical sunset.<br/ <br/ Service is fantastic and the waitresses we have had are amazing at their jobs.<br/ <br/ Food is wonderful, the desserts are to die for too! Do yourself a favour and get here!!!!!<br/ <br/ B
A 1900s sandstone cottage restaurant, this place packs a lot of character! They also have a beer garden which looked really lovely, to seat and drink your afternoon away. Unfortunately it was far too hot for us to do such a thing. <br/ The service here was really friendly and attentive. Came here for some late lunch and or the food to share. <br/ We ordered: half racks of pork ribs with potato salad and slaw, barrel salad, crispy wings. I must say... their ribs were delicious and the meat was extra tender and juicy. <br/ The cocktails were also amazing. I ordered lavender 43. That was really tasty. It had a really smooth finish and the combination of the gin, liquorice liquor and watermelon juice worked really well together. You could easily drink a few of these puppies! <br/
