I'm not from this area, nor have I ever seen/heard of a Charmery but I'm glad I went in. Even though they were crowded, the lady behind the counter put up with my need to sample some of these super cool flavors. Old Bay Salted Carmel!? So interesting and a perfect balance of sweet and salty. Speculoos was my favorite and perfect during the holiday season. I'd recommend you give this place a shot if you are an ice cream lover!
Took the family over to The Charmery for ice cream, after ice skating. This time we tried rye whiskey eggnog, root beer, lime in the coconut, Mississippi mud, green apple cider, and a couple others (I don 't remember what the youngest two got). We got to spin the wheel for a free dessert which ended up being a Sunday. I got a Sunday with root beer flavored ice cream. I was quite pleased with the quality of the chocolate used and I was surprised how well it paired with the root beer flavored ice cream (I know how it sounds, but everyone who tried it in our group agreed).
Great little ice cream place in the Merriweather district.
Stopped in here after dinner at Peter Chang.I always like ice cream shops with either really good soft serve or creative hard ice cream flavors. After trying old bay caramel and Saturday morning cartoons, ended up with a scoop of the latter. Was fast, reasonably priced, and pretty good ice cream.I'd be back to try another creative flavor and get another color changing spoon.
