And I must say, nagblend sila really well even with the Ube halaya as topping. Super nagustuhan ko and definitely a nice referesher and happy ang sweet tooth ko. Halo Halo with a Twist! Imagine a halo halo dessert with beans, pinipinig, fruit jellies and popping bobba topped with Ube Halaya. Oh, and have a mentioned that instead of milk, it is showered with coffee?! Intriguing, right? If you will be in Binondo, I suggest you include Chinatown Lai Lai Hotel 来来大酒店 in your food trip It will be like enjoying a Halo Halo dessert and your favorite cup of Iced Coffee, in one refreshing treat Service: Take out

Overall Score SPECIAL REMARKS: Chinatown Lai Lai Hotel Cafe is like a ghost town with very few customers considering it was exactly 12:00 noon. Rarely do you see a restaurant's service crew eating within the dining area during lunch rush period which was quite disturbing since they were talking and gossiping aloud. Moreover, service was very bad since the waiters didn't even bother to clear out our empty plates and dimsum baskets. The buffet comes with bottomless powdered orange juice and two (2) free dimsum baskets per customer which aren't really appetizing to look at in the first place. The Pork Siomai was the only thing salvageable amongst them. Having 10 buffet dish selections prepared was fair enough for the P349.00 price but no gel burners were used leaving them cold for consumption. The food would have tasted a lot better if it was heated properly.
Taste: While I was able to try all but one of the dishes, I think that only two of them stands out: Alaan with Taosi my companion asked me if I liked the shell meat OR the taosi sauce. I think both. The meat was a bit chewy and the spicy savory taosi sauce made me eat rice (in a buffet? Blasphemous I say! . I ate a whole plate of this and came back for seconds. Steamed Crab (Crablets? looks like alimasag instead of alimanggo. Nevertheless, the crab meat were tender. The shells crack easily when you bite it. Sarap maghimay. The other dishes were just okay. Nothing noteworthy. Ambiance/Cleanliness: Tables, chairs and utensils were clean. Bathroom was passable. Service: Servers were ok. They assisted us when we needed new plates, dimsum or a glass of water. 2 free dimsum per person (choose: siomai, japanese siomai, chicken feet, sharksfin, bean curd The resto did not leave the heat on for the buffet trays some of the food like the shrimp or spare ribs would have tasted better if it was at least warm (it's room temp already I wouldn't say it's at par with the more popular chinese buffet (uhh, Tramway but at just P299 per pax, I'd be happy to eat to just eat Crabs till I get my money's worth :
