The food was fantastic, with generous portions, so be prepared to take some leftovers home. The owner and staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming! We were visiting from Cary, NC, and this place was the highlight of our trip. It’s difficult to find good Italian restaurants where we live. Reminis brought back fond memories and reminded me of how my dad cooked when I was growing up in a big Italian family. We will definitely be back!
If I could award a Michelin star to this restaurant, I certainly would! It's hands down the best place I've experienced in the Roanoke area. The open kitchen creates a welcoming atmosphere as soon as you step inside, with the delightful aromas of sautéed dishes and freshly baked bread wafting through the air. My boyfriend, who hails from New Jersey, often criticizes the Italian cuisine in this area, but he ordered the Pasta Natale and was utterly impressed. Besides the incredible food, I highly recommend this place. Our server, Marla, was simply outstanding!
The service was excellent. The family-style meal for two offered fantastic value. The Caesar salad was fresh and packed with flavor. The bread was served hot and was incredibly tasty. For dessert, we indulged in a chocolate bomb and tiramisu, both of which were creamy and delicious.
I heard about this restaurant from my husband's cousin, so we decided to check it out. They were busy with a lot of takeout orders, but we were the only ones dining in, so we were quickly seated. The server brought out olive oil and seasoning, which made me hopeful since places that offer good oil and seasoning for their bread usually have quality food. I was pleasantly surprised by what followed. I ordered the fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. Next time, I think I’ll stick to the kid's portion of Alfredo without the shrimp. There were only four tiny shrimp on my large plate of pasta, and for some reason, I was expecting six, but I might have misread the menu. Nevertheless, the food was delicious, so I’d still give this place 4.5 stars (rounded up to 5). The kid's macaroni was tasty and very cheesy, just as macaroni should be. I tried my husband’s gyro, which was tender and flavorful as well. My older daughter loved her ravioli and managed to eat almost the entire dish (she's a petite six-year-old). Overall, I would definitely return, but I’ll make sure to order smaller or lunch portions next time.
Every dish I've tried at Remini's has been absolutely delicious, whether I've dined in or picked it up to take home. You should definitely try their rice balls—they're delightful! The staff is also very friendly and efficient. The restaurant isn't very large, so it's a good idea to visit a bit earlier or later than peak dinner hours to avoid long waits, but it's truly worth the trip! It's one of Roanoke's hidden gems.
