We found Hole in the Wall Cafe on Google and it was the only restaurant for miles that had close to a 5-? rating. The town of Rochester has a population of 248 people. The restaurant is located in their downtown area with a beautiful mural, Veterans Memorial, a Railroad Museum, and City Hall. We even were personally greeted by the City Manager and her dog, Nuisance. We wrapped up the meal with an amazing pecan cobbler and headed on our way.This small business is surrounded by the most beautiful Texas farm land including the famous @6666ranch just down the road. Be sure to stop in and grab a housemade burger, dessert, and more. Just a little reminder: They only take Cash or Check.Congrats, Hole in the Wall Cafe, for making it to 7 years!

You would never guess this food was served in such a small town. This is worth the drive. By far the best chicken fried steak I have had in a long time. It is hand cut and hand breaded, fried up and served fresh and hot. The service was fast and friendly. The building was clean. BRING CASH or use Venmo, no credit/debit cards.

Me and my mom were out of town visiting MA Quarter Horses, and I kid you not this place was beyond delicious! I had the Swiss burger my mom ordered the bacon cheese burger and omg we can’t stop raving how good it was! One of the best burger and fries I’ve tried in a long time! Small town, but the burgers are worth it! Friendly staff! Makes you feel right at home!

The people who work here are lovely and the food is just as good. They added venmo as a payment option. I always forget to bring cash and I don't have checks.
