Absolutely love this restaurant and we make sure we go there every time we are in Rosslare. Food, wine, atmosphere, service are all fantastic it is first class in a very friendly environment. ,
Overall, I enjoyed my meal here. I had wings to start, plaice for main and banoffie for dessert. The food, especially the fish, was really good. I'd go back. I did a star for a few reasons. First, the service was a little haphazard. One of the waiting staff was excellent, but others were less as out of sight as a lack of training or supervision, so likely a management error more than anything. I think the size of the portion was a little small. We only have 1 small bowl of Veg and 1 small bowl of potatoes (5 small potatoes) between 2 of us. This was as described in the menu and there was an option to buy more, but at ~35 per main the restaurant should not mean on the vege and potatoes that are not expensive ingredients. In Fairness there was a lot of fish on the plate.
Wild and native has evolved over a number of years and is now offering an Irish tapas menu and a walk-in service so no reservations required. The menu seems daunting at first, but it's basically very many plates/ small plates that can be combined and shared to make your perfect evening food offering. You can start small and keep adding through your meal too Very strong restaurant for Rosslare with impeccable service. My only regret is that we'd left it so long to try the new menu there is something for everyone
The tapas style menu is a lovely relaxed approach to dining in this lovely restaurant in Rosslare. The staff are warm friendly and attentive and the food is excellent. It’s ideally suited to groups who like to share but there’s plenty on the menu for all palettes. I hope to get back here during the summer but I suspect they will be very busy!
