I just stopped in here on a whim for lunch and the food was incredible.I had the braised pork belly udon, which the server said was her favorite.I highly recommend giving circle noodle a try
FOOD: Great Food. Tasty Different. Soft Shell Crab absolutely amazing, Chicken Cutlet Don (Oyako Don just the way I remember it when I was young juicy chicken over rice with sauce mixed in egg major comfort food moment, zenbu delish, purple kari kari gyoza this was a little different for us but it was good ok, hanjuku tomago tempura so light and mouthwateringly good COST (OUT OF 4 mains from 12 16 Ok cost DÉCOR: wood everywhere, very japanese homey feel, accent with circle art SERVICE: older lady server, attentive and friendly, food came out pretty fast RECOMMEND: Would Recommend and would definitely go back if we're in the area
This is a cozy little spot in a plaza that has lots of great restaurants. What really makes this place stand out is the excellent udon and appetizers. The tofu had flavor and was delightful, as was the shrimp tempura. I got the Nabeyaki Udon my son tried Kakuni Udon. They both tasted very good. Mine had more subtle flavors which you would need to season to your taste preferences. She had given me some spice to put into it. It tasted good either way. Kakuni had a strong robust flavor with the broth tasting so delicious! We are excited to come back and try different options. We did notice that this place has very specific hours so before you come it is recommended that you call ahead or try to see if they are open at the time you want to go. I think I saw something where it was open 11:00 Am- 2 Pm often. Some Evenings they are not open.
Highly recommended for those who like udon. Many Japanese restaurants serve udon, but this place is unique in that it is an udon specialty shop. The purple kari-kari gyoza is made with purple cabbage so has a cool purple color. The gyoza are all stuck together so there are more crispy bits to eat!The nabeyaki udon comes with tempura included as side. It was tasty and more filling than expected. It's a small shop, but there was plenty of seating and no wait when I came on a sunday for lunch. Service is fast, too.
