The Travellers Rest - Rotherham

I have been attending "The Travellers" for their open mic night for over a year now, and all I can say is amazing! The talent of the performers is incredible. The atmosphere in the pub is exceptional. The staff are always friendly and accommodating. The pub is impeccably clean, beautifully decorated, and well-maintained. It's unfortunate that this pub doesn't receive the recognition it deserves.

We hosted our son's christening party at this restaurant and everything was amazing. The buffet was excellent and the staff were very helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond to accommodate our needs. I would highly recommend this place. Thank you so much xx

Had a booking for 25 people for my daughters 14th birthday, the staff were great our food came out all together and everyone said how lovely the food was, deserts were beautiful. Staff more than happy to help and assist with the birthday cake, we all enjoyed the night especially my daughter and would definitely do it again, highly recommended to anyone who wants a big booking or even just for a quiet meal. Love this place and it’s lovely setting and staff.

As soon as me and my husband walk in you just wanted to turn back out but we thought we’d give it a try. The room was cold the chips under cooked definitely won’t be returning back

The last review I gave was on the lovely food and steak we had here. After the recent visit something seems to have changed and not for the better. 45 minutes it took for steak chips and my partners burger to arrive. The burger was tasty with the dripping gravy but my steak really was a let down and the mushrooms that came with it were inedible, hard and shrivelled up. Bog standard frozen chips that were tasteless and the steak wasn't a good piece of quality meat. Sorry but we wont be returning for a while, hopefully things will improve
