It seems my menu choices have changed, as I can no longer order one shrimp quesadilla and one chicken like I did for the last eight visits. Initially, our waitress seemed a bit shaky, but she turned out to be fine in the end. The food was still fantastic, and considering we went around 1:30 PM on a Sunday—a typically busy time—we only had to wait 15 minutes, which is unbeatable. It was the first time we've waited at all during our many visits, so my experience was a bit different this time, but it was still close to a five-star rating rather than a four overall.
I asked our server to have the kitchen remake my omelette with sautéed onions, but when it returned, the onions were only lightly grilled instead of properly sautéed. They resembled fajita onions, which I’m not particularly fond of. I ended up taking the food home for my husband to cook, only to find that the chilis were raw and still had their seeds. I plan to remove those and replace them with jalapeños once I get home. When I go out to eat, I expect the restaurant to prepare my food, not to take it home and re-cook it. Additionally, the restaurant was quite warm, to the point where I was sweating. I should have asked them to lower the temperature, as the heat from the kitchen was making it uncomfortable. On a positive note, the restaurant was very clean, which is definitely a plus. I will consider giving them another chance and will be more specific with my requests next time, but I’m still feeling uncertain about it.
I hadn't visited this restaurant in a while because my last experience was underwhelming, but this time things were different. We ordered the fajitas for two; since we're currently following a low-carb diet, we brought our own tortillas. I inquired about a sugar-free margarita, and they had a version made with agave and no added sugar, which was excellent! Our server was attentive and provided accurate information, delivering our food promptly and offering dessert options. The prices were reasonable, and the atmosphere was enjoyable.
This place has great Shrimp Diablos. The changa was good order it well done they make it the way you want it here. Carne Asada unmatched by any resturants in the area juicy full of flavor. Service was A And yes the Margaritas here are phenomenal.
We visited La Margarita restaurant after a couple of months from our last visit. This time, I decided to put aside items that I normally order, which are either Caldo de Res (Beef soup) or Pescado Parrilla (Grilled fish), and go for a chicken dish called Rio Grande that consists of two chicken enchiladas, two chicken tacos and charro beans plus rice. The dish was delicious as the shredded chicken in the enchiladas and tacos were very tasty; the rice was good but I think the charro beans might have been a little overcooked. Overall it was a good dish but I think I will stick to my usual choices next time.
