The Carlton - Rugby

A good place to lunch. nothing to call home. food. basic service. rather expensive prices for a bog standard menu of selected foods. no place I would recommend to everyone.

We came to the carlton on Saturday afternoon, there was no one there, so we got a code and went into our room, the room was very dated with a gray brown leather couch in the room. the bed sheets and hand towels looked very...old and thread bear and picky. the bathroom lights did not work properly and the carpet was not clean. we both felt very uncomfortable about staying in the room, and there was no one talking to the room to ask if we could be moved or a refund. So we left the key in the room in the premier inn rugby. we paid two hotels on Saturday when we were on a high time. the photos online in comparison to the booked room were terrible. (faulty towers)

In carlton hotel for a week during the work in rugby. this is my type of hotel in so much that I avoid the company hotels whenever I can. the staff in the carlton was very friendly and helpful during my stay. eating. was not only excellent, but also makes sense too expensive. the rooms are clean when slightly tired, but contain all extras like bottle water, cookies, baked and a plentiful supply with tea and coffee. my room was in the back of the main building and was nice and quiet. all in all, if they, like me, enjoy one to the earthy, friendly hotel served good eating then give this one try.

Another year at the carlton hotel and I were not disappointed. I love coming here to Christmas, as it is traditional Christmas dinner for me. I never let myself be disappointed by food. there was a little waiting when we arrived. on our table that was strange when we were the first to arrive. nothing important. the creamy laeks this year were a delicious supplement. I will come back

Went with my family for my birthday as this used to be a family favourite. Used to, but not now. The door was locked on arrival Staff seemed confused We were not offered drinks until minutes after arriving The bar had a terrible selection...The food was of a poor quality and lacked flavour Meat was dry and tough Serving staff managed to brush their arms in to our food. My wife’s food had a plastic strip hidden in it. When pointing out to the serving staff they argued against it saying that all the food is fresh. Then they came back and offered a free dessert, however we were ordering from a set price menu. I assume new management, really not the place we used to enjoy
