The restaurant has beautiful surroundings, friendly staff, and offers outstanding food at a reasonable price. The drinks are also affordable. The chef even grows his own herbs in the garden, ensuring the freshest ingredients possible.

The new owners and menu at this restaurant are superbly friendly. The charcoal cooking gives off a wonderful aroma and all dishes are very fresh. It is clear that they are still getting the hang of things with this new venture, so a little patience is needed. However, the Timothy Taylor Ale was the best beer in miles around, so it's not too much of a hardship. I have visited twice in one week - once on a busy Friday evening with friends, and then again for a nearly deserted lunchtime visit with a business colleague. Between us, we have tried six dishes and they were all much better than expected. Well done!

This pub changed hands before Christmas and then suffered lockdown. When it reopened we thought we would try it for lunch. They only do cooked dishes at lunchtime, reasonably priced, but it would be good to be able to have a sandwich or ploughman's. We both had a chicken pesto pasta bowl which was certainly pleasant. We had a look at the evening menus but nothing really appealed so I don't think we'll be going back. Their Covid arrangements weren't brilliant, they did not ask us for contact details although I noticed some slips on the bar. There was some hand sanitiser by the entrance. People were ignoring the in/out arrangements. They have quite a few well-spaced tables in the garden, some with umbrellas. The interior of the pub looked a little cramped. A selection of sauces in sachets was brought to the table, not sure where it went after that!

The food at this restaurant is delicious and affordably priced. The staff members are friendly and cheerful. We love coming here because the tables are wheelchair accessible and the staff are very accommodating.

Called in on our way home. Friendly staff. Good real ales. I had the Hunters Chicken which was cooked perfectly. My partner had steak which he said was cooked to his liking. Good atmosphere. Definitely will return again soon
