This is an experience in itself. Travelling in the open top piste bashes in swirling snowfall is not for whomps but we loved it. Arrived at the hotel cloaked in a winter wonderland to be welcomed into the warm and inviting building. Ribs, potato wedges and salad washed down with beer or wine was top notch and very filling. Desert was not required but we did manage squeeze in a schnapps or two. Staff did well to serve a large group efficiently. Well done. After our dinner we took the toboggans back down to the town. Blumin great fun. It’s not without it’s safety issues (recommend helmet and don’t drink too much) but was brilliant at reducing sensible adults to giggling children. A great night out enjoy.
We visited Spielberghaus with a Swedish tour. The food: spareribs and roasted potatoes with two different sauces tasted good. However, it would have been nice with som vegetables e.g. a sallad with tomatoes with the food. We had the classical Apfelstrudeln as dessert. There were many groups with noicy and drunk people. We game early and left efter about 1,5 hour.
We came several times to this restaurant. the view is amazing. the food is really good. and the service is very good, efficient and always with a smile. our favorite place by far !
First being picked ut på a snow cat and transported to this wonderful place was a thrill. Then the service and food was very good. In the end we went tobogganing down to Saalbach on the lit slope. FANTASTIC FUN!
The restaurant came recommended from some friends, though they hadn't tried the fondue, it didn't disappoint! Our table was already laid out for us in arrival ( you need to prebook the fondue) to start we had a meat and cheese plate to share watch out for the horseradish. There was plenty of meat, Pork,Beef and Chicken along with a large bowl of chips and salad as well as bread, we finished it off with Apple Strudel and Chocolate fondue, our waiter was excellent and attentive.Getting there, any taxi will know where to take you, or you walk up the Spielberg weg about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the top of the pedestrianised road in town. You will need 9 Euro cash per person to pay the Pisten Bully driver. For the way down, ski trousers are recommended if you are going to toboggan, you can get the Pisten Bully down if there are number of other people doing the same or get on the back of a skidoo, I would recommend mentioning when making a reservation that you don't want to toboggan down.
