Have been there twice and the food has been fantastic each time. Great local food & great cocktails.
We were on our 26th anniversary east coast tour getting late decided to bunker down in just past Moncton. We drove around and and pulled up a list of restaurants in area. Most were fast food.We landed on Coy and Wolf Bistro in Sackville NB...are we glad fate brought us here.Ordered 6 fresh Oysters for app and homemade Tomato soup.Soup was a 10...for dinner had the sea food Cesar. It was unreal a nice piece of substainable Sword fish grilled to perfection and muscles, clams and 2 massive shrimp all greens grown in their garden behind restaurant.Had the Cremé Bruile which was made to perfection.Met a great couple beside us and made a 10/10 dinner. This is a MUST visit restaurant
Great food and interesting menu. The quality and taste were excellent, however I found the prices slightly high for what it was.
We asked a local couple where to eat dinner in Sackville, N.B. Among their options was "The Coy Wolf", described as "a little pricey." But the restaurant prides itself on locally-sourced ingredients (including greens from the backyard garden). Service was professional, informed and solicitous of feedback. Not the "How's it tasting" that seems to be the mantra of Maritime servers, but a genuine interest in our opinion. The rabbit confit was succulent and supported by properly cooked vegetables. The lobster noisette suffered from the lack of available lobster; scallops were substituted. The need for a substitution was stated up front and with sincere regret. The resulting dish was flavourful, with al dente paste and a generous number of scallops. The beverage list contained a local cider (from nearby Belliveau), a drink that was refreshing, crisp and tangy. The dessert was a rhubarb crisp, with ice cream, whipping cream, and local strawberries. We asked for two forks and waddled out the door stuffed. The location is right on Bridge Street, a short walk from the university.
