This small hotel is very comfortable, charming and well appointed. Our room was large, clean and everything was in good condition. We stayed half board which came with a three-course fixed menu which was lovely. There is an extensive wine list. Breakfast was equally good although fresh coffee (rather than a thermos) would have been a bonus. Be aware if you are a light sleeper that the church clock chimes every quarter of an hour throughout the night. We would return.
We have really enjoyed this restaurant with its excellent kitchen. Every dish looks like a small painting and a super taste. If you like surprises that taste really good instead of huge portions than this is the place to go. I would gladly return to this restaurant!
As a group of 15 it can’t have been easy for three days of four course meals to be produced for us on time and beautifully presented and every mouthful of every course was delicious!
Came here after recommendation from our B&B. The setting is lovely, the restaurant very classic and classy with nice decoration, cloth napkins etc and the staff friendly. Dishes are very beautifully presented. But it‘s more about appearance than anything else the fish was slightly overcooked just like the pork that was hard, all the cheeses were served ice cold and not explained ok, we are French and knew half of them but would have loved to know what the others were! , being so cold anyways there was no way to distinguish them from supermarket fare. We told the waitress that it’s a pity the cheeses apparently came straight from the fridge and she said ‚yes of course’ ! . None of the dishes were bad, they were all ok albeit on the small side in terms of quantity, but given the spectacular presentation we really expected more. The dessert again looked gorgeous but when I tried to eat my chèvre cheesecake nice idea! I basically had to use my fork like a pickax to chop away a morsel, and I was very surprised to find the sorbet to be a solid block of ice since it had apparently been pre fashioned into its nice shape then frozen to solid rock again. The menu with starter, main, dessert is 27,95 eur. In summary: It looks beautiful but a bit less appearance and more content and care would go a long way, since the substance is there.
We stay 4 night half pension in the hotel and we hoped to heave top level meals. But we were a little bit disapointed. It was good food, but we got better food in others restaurants. For me it is medium and not worth to give a star!
