Krewe - Saint Joseph

What an absolutely wonderful surprise to find a true creole spot in St Joseph MN! Service from Maddie was TOP NOTCH! Food had massive portions, was seasoned to perfection, and you could tell the team runs this establishment with real Louisiana hospitality. As someone who lived in the deep south with Creole and Cajun family, this restaurant felt like home.

So so good. I had the stuffed pork chops and loved every bite. Wish I lived closer than 16 hours away!!

We went to Krewe for a family brunch to celebrate some birthdays. We made reservations and the table was ready when we arrived. The servers were all so friendly and the food was amazing! Each of us drove about an hour to get to St. Joseph and it was well worth it. The service, drinks, food, and atmosphere were the BEST!

The only thing I will dock, they need window shades inside.My husband and I love food. I like to say it's our love language. We cook at home, easy to challenging food.We had beans and rice and the stuffed porkchops with bread pudding for dessert. Oh my lanta.....it was so fricken good!!! I almost started to cry eating the porkchop. I can't put into words how wonderful this food is. Other places around town do not compare. We had clean plates. No take home food.I talked with one of the owners, Erin, to tell her how amazing this experience was. We even bought the cooks beer.I never leave reviews unless to praise the establishment. So thank you. Thank you to everyone at KREWE.

Food got knocked down a little bit. My only gripe with the food was that it was EXTREMELY salty. So much so that it was the dominant flavor in the Grandpa's Gumbo that I had. The Bucatini and Garlic Scape Pesto that my girlfriend had, was excellent, the bread and butter was excellent.Service was top notch. We were seated very quickly, and the evening was perfect to sit outside and enjoy some of the nicer weather that Minnesota has to offer.Atmosphere was also excellent. My girlfriend and I were able to have a conversation at a normal volume without feeling like we had to yell at each other across the table to talk.Overall, I would definitely give this place a try again, plus it's a local business, and despite one minor bump with the experience, I would absolutely go back and try something new.
