I have eaten in hundreds of restaraunts and this is my first review. We went there because of the setting, the food was ok, but pricy, and our waitress was very pleasant. The experience was 3 1/2 hours of forgetfulness by our waitress, we were...More
The dinner was amazing! We had the lobster gnocchi, scallop risotto, and sweetbreads. I definitely recommend the sweetbreads. The gnocchi was my second favorite. The risotto and scallops were good too, but the risotto was pretty standard in comparison to the other dishes. And they have a great Chenin Blanc for only $24/bottle!Our server Arnaud was very accommodating, especially speaking English to us. We enjoyed the meal just as much as we enjoyed the stay.
Alongside some lovely wine, I had the gnocchi with shrimp and scallops and my friend had the chowder and calamari. Breakfast was included in our stay and was self-serve from a selection of breads, croissants, pains au chocolat, a fruit platter, and of course, great coffee. It was wonderful
We went into the restaurant the previous day and made a reservation for two people as soon as they opened for dinner the following day. Unfortunately they would not give us a window table as they had other reservations at a later time (90 minutes after we arrived,) where the diners were staying at their Inn and had been able to reserve specific tables. If you are a twosome they do not offer the better views! In spite of the maitre'd trying to give us the rush from our table, we had a lovely waitress and the food was great.
