Ledger - Salem

Fantastic restaurant! They offer innovative cocktails and delicious food. When we arrived, the place was packed, but they managed to stick to their reservation schedule, and our food and drinks were served promptly. The atmosphere is simply wonderful!

I can't recommend Ledger enough! We visited on a Saturday in October, which is a busy time in Salem, and we were pleasantly surprised by the high quality of service despite the large crowd. Ledger is located in an old bank building, and they've beautifully incorporated some original bank elements into the decor, which adds a really cool touch. The food was absolutely AMAZING! Every bite was a delight. Be sure to start with the fried Brussels sprouts – they are incredible! The mushroom Campanelle was also fantastic. If you're up for a burger, the double Ledger burger is huge and perfect for sharing. I was also impressed by the wine list, which is presented in a vintage leather bank ledger – a lovely detail. We opted for cocktails for our girls' lunch, and I have no regrets. They were not only delicious but also adorable! Each drink features a cute garnish or accessory that adds a fun, spooky element. The food was satisfying without being overly heavy, making it the perfect spot for lunch before exploring Salem.

The ambiance is fantastic, especially given that the building used to be a bank. It's spacious and impressive, yet still manages to feel cozy. The food is exceptional, with most dishes made from scratch. The burger is outstanding, and you absolutely have to try the popovers. The beef fat drippings used for dipping are incredible!

Food by Chef Dan Gursha is always amazing. Highly recommend taking the time to stop in for the hip hop brunch and enjoy some amazing donuts and specials!

We visited on the first weekend of October, expecting a busy atmosphere, and we weren't disappointed; there was a wait to be seated. The ambiance was cozy and modern, which was nice. The waitstaff was friendly and attentive. The food was tasty, but I felt that the menu options were somewhat limited. Overall, it was a pleasant experience, but I wouldn't rush to return.
