The restaurant serves small portions of chicken that are probably from a sparrow, along with small chips. The chicken was a bit dry, but the flavor was similar to KFC.
Whenever I visit the Lowry Outlet I always visit the Food court area for lunch. There is a fair choice from some of the other big names ie Burger King Harry Ramsdens but I am usually drawn to Chicken Cottage. I am not drawn there for the friendly service as I have never seen anybody there smile yet and you're lucky if you get any conversation out of them! I am drawn there as the chicken and chips are tasty and very good value for money. The tables are shared by all the food outlets and are kept clean. You wouldn't take anybody there to impress them but for a quick snack at lunch very good.
The food is good and less greasy than KFC, although I order something that was not immediately ready service delivery time was good. Unfortunately the member of staff serving appeared to in interested and cold mannerisms. Also, a polystyrene container for the burger is not exactly saving the planet and this should now be cardboard.
Today Nov 11th we visited the Lowry Outlet before going to the theatre. We wanted a snack so we chose ckicken from the chicken cottage. The chicken strip meal was very good(if a little too spicy) my only concern is the place is manned by men who couldn't quite manage the language, and if I hadn't question the price I had been charged They would have got away with a £2.80 overcharge.........all because the guy serving me was new and couldn't speak English.
