I have visited the Royal Sovereign many times since the refurbishment. All staff are very friendly, smarty presented and professional. Please pass on my thanks and best wishes to Allan, who is always very polite and friendly. In fact he is very customer focused, displays excellent communication and customer service skills. He is witty, always has a smile and keeps all customers happy.

This venue exceeds expectations from a variety of perspective. In terms of covid-19 issues, it really couldn 't be better organised. There is a vast beer garden that lends itself well to all aspects of social distancing. In terms of food, the Chefs do a fantastic job and I have never had cause to complain. Perhaps the best aspects though are that the venue retains the feel of being a 'local ' and its staff are the most pleasant and willing that you will encounter. Outside of lockdown measures, the Royal Sovereign is also a sports bar par excellence and also provides quizzes and weekend DJ 's, which I assume will again serve everyone well on a futuristic basis.
