Visited her on a couple of occasions now and each time have been so very impressed with the home made food, price and the friendliness of the owners. Its incredibly cheap and a real nurturing little place so if you was wanting company or not you would still feel extremely comfortable. The toilets and cafe are on ground level and the bus stops right outside. If driving you would likely need to park on tesco car park which is just across the road.
Popped into here with my son , who works around the corner .We thought we'd give it a try , instead of the usual Costa . What a lovely cafe . Warm , clean , so comfortable , such friendly staff and good variety of food .It was quite busy but service was excellent . Will definately come here again . Keep up the good work .
This hidden treasure is an AMAZING place. Karen and Eddie are the most accommodating couple, they cater for all dietary needs. They will try different types of food items that turn out to be lush, a crisp and sauce wrap being just one example, which lots of customers loved, I love their quirkiness with foods which turns out to be very nice and tasty. They and their customers thrive on the difference in foods and look forward to tasting the new dishes. The names Hug in a Mug and there’s definitely lots of them, if you need a hug they will give you one, they (the hugs) are legendary. Their food is such good value for money and all cooked to order, including all of their cakes. They run a craft night on a Tuesday night that is extremely popular. The café is warm very clean and friendly. They let groups use their space and they hold charity fund raising nights too. They are definitely the seat of the community in Walkden, that’s exactly what Karen and Eddie aimed for and wish to do more. Every community needs a Karen and Eddie.
A friendly homely experience with home made foods and a well designed speciality menu. Cannot find what you want, tell them what you fancy and they probably have a solution. Coffee from the bean, strong and rich, cakes home made and never the same. Prices you find is very reasonable and for such a small coffee shop, comes a big heart. The community of walkden is within this cafe as charitable events helping local people are often welcome. If you want local honey or crafts, you can get them here too .The only thing i believes it lacks i a refreshing smoothie.
